How to Choose the Right Orthodontic Care
Making the choice to seek orthodontic care is an important one. When you choose to seek orthodontic care for you or your child, you are deciding on an attractive smile and continued oral health that will affect you or your child's entire life. This decision is not to be made lightly, but treated as a very important decision considering the following points.
Choosing a Certified Orthodontist is Important. This may seem obvious, but this specialty dentist has completed additional training (a minimum of two years or more) in order to deliver treatment in the form of orthodontia. When you arrive at your first visit, have your questions and concerns ready, and then do not hesitate to ask them. Our well-qualified, orthodontic office expects your questions, and is ready and willing to answer them. A certified orthodontist will often also have available before and after photos of former patients for your viewing.
Select an Orthodontist Whose Practice is Convenient to Reach. We are happy to schedule a consultation if you are not in a convenient location, but you will most likely be visiting us often during your treatment, so we recommend considering your travel when choosing our qualified orthodontic office. We are happy to provide you with our office hours so you can determine if our hours can work for you and your child.
Do Not Ignore the Obvious. If you have chosen to consult an orthodontist from outside our office, be sure their office is clean and orderly, and the staff is kind and well-groomed.
Discuss the Cost of Treatment. Discuss your insurance coverage and if necessary, what payment arrangements can be made.
Choosing the right orthodontic care is a big decision and should not be made in haste. We want to be sure that our care is right for you or your child.
